Certified Surgical Coder

A company is looking for a Surgical Coder II, Remote. Key Responsibilities Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes to patient encounters based on medical documentation Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations from relevant bodies Participate in coding audits and maintain accurate records of coding activities Required Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding preferred Certified Professional Coder credential preferred 3-5 years of medical coding experience required In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Familiarity with coding guidelines from AMA, CMS, and other organizations
