SUMMARY : Licensed and credentialed physician, practicing in the specialty of Pediatrics and providing direct patient care to clinic and hospital patients. Provide primary care services for infants, children and adolescents, including preventive care as well as diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of injuries and illnesses. Provide pediatric hospitalist care for newborn Level 1 nursery, inpatient pediatrics and shared call coverage. Examine patients, take medical histories, prescribe medications, counsel patients and parents / caregivers, order and / or perform diagnostic tests and perform procedures within the scope of practice for Pediatrics, as defined by the Hospital’s Medical Staff and physician’s clinical privileges approved by the Board of Directors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
M.D. or D.O degree and successful completion of medical residency in Pediatrics
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS :
Required
and / or unrestricted Nevada State Board of Pharmacy Certificate and DEA to practice in Nevada, as
appropriate
five (5) years of residency or fellowship training. Must maintain board certification and satisfy specialty /
subspecialty recertification requirements, as applicable.
(BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification)
certificate.
Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS
certification)
