We are seeking an experienced, hands-on traveling Building Maintenance Technician to work in several large commercial office and medical buildings in in the Southeast Michigan area. All applicants must have experience in maintaining large commercial buildings. This position is full-time.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine cause of problem or malfunctions and take corrective action.Perform minor repairs and / or oversee repairs and maintenance work performed by our contracted vendors as directed by Property Management.Perform various maintenance tasks and service calls for our tenants as required.Do preventive maintenance task checklists.Maintain fire and life safety standards.Respond to AFTER HOURS emergency calls as directed by the Property Managers.Other duties as assigned by Property Management.REQUIREMENTS : High School diploma or equivalent. MINIMUM 3+ years hands-on maintenance experience in a COMMERCIAL setting.
HVAC and / or other Mechanical certifications a plus.Excellent troubleshooting ability.Basic computer skills including use of email required.Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)You must have your own transportation to and from the job sites (truck or van preferred).We have tools and equipment available, but it is helpful if you also have your own basic tools.These are professional office and medical environments so professional attire, appearance, and conduct are required.We are seeking LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY.
