Join our team as a Casual MRI Technologist , where you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports accurate patient care. This position offers flexible scheduling based on departmental needs, with shifts typically from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM or 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM , including weekends and holidays as required. You may also participate in the tech rotation , ensuring variety and collaboration across the team.
The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary structure based on experience, certification, and skill.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain Clinical Competency : Perform all exams and operate equipment in accordance with departmental standards.
- Ensure Patient Safety : Verify patient identity using two identifiers and follow universal protocols. Review history, assess physician orders, and apply departmental protocols for optimal imaging, including contrast preparation and documentation.
- Prepare for Exams : Present all relevant information to the physician prior to the procedure.
- Manage Imaging Workflow : Accurately code and track exams in RIS, update patient records, archive images in ISITE, and ensure proper charge entry.
- Practice MR Safety : Adhere to all MR safety guidelines within the department.
- Provide Patient Care : Communicate instructions clearly, explain procedures to reduce anxiety, and demonstrate empathy and respect.
- Collaborate Effectively : Work as a team member across departments to ensure efficient patient care.
- Handle Image Processing : Review, process, and archive imaging data as required.

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT or ARDMS program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date. MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.\n \n
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :

CPR or BLS Required - CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire\n
ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)\n
