Barr-Nunn Transportation, a premier truck load carrier in business for over 42 years, is currently seeking Diesel Mechanic / Technicians to join our growing team at our Columbus, OH terminal.

Qualified candidates must have a solid work history, valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be at least 18 years old. Must have high school diploma or GED or be actively pursuing a high school diploma or GED.

Employment contingent on passing a pre-employment physical and drug screens to include both urine and hair follicle testing ( Marijuana is a disqualification of employment due to safety-sensitive functions of the position ).

Education and Experience

Main Job Responsibilities

Level 1 Mechanic : Cleaning trucks, work with hand tools, perform tire services, general shop upkeep and cleaning, and other duties delegated by Management.

Level 2 Mechanic : Perform all level 1 duties if needed but will spend most of the time on preventative maintenance including but not limited to : Servicing of trucks and trailers, DOT Inspections on trucks and trailers, minor engine diagnostics, emissions systems troubleshooting,

Will receive training during this time from inside and outside sources for continual advancement opportunities.
