Registered Nurse – PICU Facility : Sinai Hospital – LifeBridge Health
Location : 2401 W Belvedere Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215
Schedule : 3x12-hour shifts / week
Position Overview Sinai Hospital, a part of the LifeBridge Health system, is seeking a Registered Nurse with pediatric critical care experience for a 14-week assignment in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The nurse will provide care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents, with a patient ratio of 1 : 2. Candidates must be able to float to Pediatric and NICU units as needed. First-time travelers are welcome.
Certifications & Requirements RN License : Active Maryland RN License or Compact License – Required at time of submission
Certifications : BLS, PALS – Required
Experience : Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
Previous charge nurse experience : Not required
Charting System : Cerner – Required
Travel experience : Not required
Teaching Hospital experience : Not required
Skills & Competencies Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 (Days, Nights, Weekends)
IV therapy / Phlebotomy
Arterial line management
Central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring
Cardiovascular monitoring
Moderate sedation
Drip titration and management
Ventilator management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), CPAP / BiPAP
Management of central and arterial lines
Pediatric-specific diagnoses : Respiratory distress / failure
Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
Seizures
Pain management
Sepsis
