Unit : Main OR – Adult Cardiac Operating Room

Job Description :

The Cardiac OR RN will join a high-acuity surgical team supporting CABGs, TAVRs, VADs (HeartMate 2 & 3), ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants in a Level 1 Trauma Center . This is a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment requiring clinical expertise and adaptability.

Responsibilities include :

Scrubbing for cardiac surgical procedures (REQUIRED)

Circulating preferred

Supporting minimally invasive cardiac procedures

Participating in transplant and mechanical circulatory support cases

Requirements :

Active New York RN license – Required

2+ years' OR experience – Required

Scrub experience – Required

Circulating experience – Preferred

Experience with :

Minimally invasive cardiac procedures

VADs (HeartMate 2 or 3) – Required

Cardiac transplant – Preferred

Trauma OR experience – Preferred

Certifications (Required) :

BLS – American Heart Association

ACLS – American Heart Association
