Parts Manag er

As the Parts Manager, you will lead the parts department with a focus on delivering high-quality service and operational excellence. You will oversee parts operations, inventory control, staff development, and collaboration across departments to support service, sales, and wholesale channels. A strong understanding of dealership systems and a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are essential.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Lead the parts department in alignment with dealership objectives and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Manage inventory using manufacturer and dealership systems to ensure appropriate stock levels and availability of high-demand parts.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies for parts ordering, returns, and warranties.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the parts team to deliver exceptional service and maintain product knowledge.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service Manager to ensure timely fulfillment of repair orders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as gross profit, sales volume, fill rates, obsolescence, and inventory turnover.
  • Maintain and grow wholesale accounts by providing responsive, reliable service.
  • Coordinate with manufacturer representatives to optimize department performance and implement new programs.
  • Develop monthly forecasts and budgets, aligning department goals with overall dealership profitability targets.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to support accessory sales and improve customer retention.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a dealership parts department.
  • Proficiency with manufacturer parts systems, logistics, and operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Completion of manufacturer-specific training or Parts Manager Certification Program.
  • Familiarity with service and wholesale programs offered by the OEM.
  • Experience with accessory and lifestyle product merchandising.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Frequently required to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working Environment :

  • Dealership facility and parts warehouse.
  • Regular interaction with technicians, wholesale clients, and retail customers.
  • Adherence to dealership and manufacturer standards for cleanliness, professionalism, and efficiency.
