Parts Manag er
As the Parts Manager, you will lead the parts department with a focus on delivering high-quality service and operational excellence. You will oversee parts operations, inventory control, staff development, and collaboration across departments to support service, sales, and wholesale channels. A strong understanding of dealership systems and a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are essential.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead the parts department in alignment with dealership objectives and manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage inventory using manufacturer and dealership systems to ensure appropriate stock levels and availability of high-demand parts.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies for parts ordering, returns, and warranties.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the parts team to deliver exceptional service and maintain product knowledge.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Manager to ensure timely fulfillment of repair orders.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as gross profit, sales volume, fill rates, obsolescence, and inventory turnover.
- Maintain and grow wholesale accounts by providing responsive, reliable service.
- Coordinate with manufacturer representatives to optimize department performance and implement new programs.
- Develop monthly forecasts and budgets, aligning department goals with overall dealership profitability targets.
- Implement merchandising strategies to support accessory sales and improve customer retention.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a dealership parts department.Proficiency with manufacturer parts systems, logistics, and operations.Strong working knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS).Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing team.Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Preferred Qualifications :
Completion of manufacturer-specific training or Parts Manager Certification Program.Familiarity with service and wholesale programs offered by the OEM.Experience with accessory and lifestyle product merchandising.Physical Requirements :
Frequently required to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.Working Environment :
Dealership facility and parts warehouse.Regular interaction with technicians, wholesale clients, and retail customers.Adherence to dealership and manufacturer standards for cleanliness, professionalism, and efficiency.
