Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Set-up, program, and operate CNC Mazak turning centers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES :

Program CNC Mazak Lathes from reading / interpreting blueprints

Set-up and run Lathe applications that include soft turning, hard turning, threading, and center work (I.D. boring).

Must inspect the manufactured parts and edit programs or adjust offsets and tooling to meet the print requirements.

Understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints.

Must be able to set up and use precision bore gages, OD snaps, micrometers, indicators, and gage block set-ups.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

Work overtime when necessary.

Follow written and verbal instructions accurately

Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.

Pay commensurate with experience.
