A local company in Conroe, TX is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a Direct Hire position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary Range : $85,000 - $100,000 annually

About the Position

The Controls Engineer will design, implement, and maintain control systems to optimize production processes and ensure efficient operations. This role involves developing algorithms, utilizing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and develop control systems for industrial automation projects, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
• Integrate vision-guided robotics and motion control systems into production environments
• Program and troubleshoot control systems, PLCs, and automation software
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment related to electrical design and programming
• Analyze system requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Conduct testing and validation of engineering solutions to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules while ensuring adherence to project methodologies
• Document processes, specifications, and procedures related to engineering projects
• Prepare proposal estimates and provide technical input during launch and production phases
• Address customer needs through effective problem-solving and innovative technical solutions
• Stay current on technology trends and contribute ideas for new products and improvements
