ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM ANALYST

Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Office of Protective Services (OPS) Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for a variety of analytical functions, providing support to statewide law enforcement and fire services, including the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) records coordination, and quality assurance activities for Department of Developmental Services (the Department), which includes a Developmental Center, one smaller Community Facility (DC / CF), and the headquarters (HQ) office.

This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at least two days per week. Beginning July 1, 2025, all employees will be required to work in-person at least four days per week in alignment with .

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an open space, partitioned office environment. Requires using a personal computer and sitting for extended periods of time while reviewing and / or preparing documents using a personal or laptop computer 85% to 90% of the time.

Special Requirements

The Office of Protective Services (OPS) is a Law Enforcement Agency. After the background check clears, the applicant will be appointed to the position. This background check includes interviews of employment and personal references; and FBI, California DOJ finger print clearances and DMV clearance(s). The selected applicant must complete a notarized waiver for access to their personal records.
