Description :

The unit has a 1 : 1-2 patient ratio during shifts.

Candidates will assist both mother and baby in a Labor and Delivery Unit.

The department had around 100 births in the previous year, indicating lower volume.

However, the unit experiences higher acuity and high-risk cases.

Strong experience is necessary due to the autonomy required for the small department.

Candidates may be required to float to MedSurg or assist with other tasks as needed.

Weekend work will be determined by departmental needs.

Candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions.
