Speech Therapist

LOCATION : Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Beacon

RATE : $38.00 / hour to $44.12 / hour (depending on experience)

SHIFT : Per-Diem

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Under the supervision of the Director of Speech / Language Pathology, the Rehabilitation Director and the Staff Speech / Language Pathologist provides speech therapy to the residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Work under the Director of Speech / Language Pathology to provide speech therapy to the residents

Assist in screening, evaluating, and treatment of residents in accordance with comprehensive care planning

Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS :

• Possess knowledge of age-specific developmental factors for adult and geriatric residents
• Must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech / Language Hearing Association
• Must have a current New York State License as Speech / Language Pathologist
• Long-term care experience preferred but not required
