Job descriptionPromote dental health through dental prophylaxis, oral cancer screenings, radiographic studies, and compliance with the Dental Practice Act. Engage with patients by welcoming, seating, and preparing them for dental hygiene treatment. Provide answers and information to patients and staff regarding inquiries and requests. Maintain tools for dental hygiene by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting the appropriate instruments. Evaluate patients' oral health to select relevant materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits. Perform dental prophylaxis by cleaning teeth and removing deposits and stains. Detect oral diseases by conducting screenings and examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal issues, and performing radiographic studies. Apply fluorides and other agents to prevent cavities and address dental decay. Possess a valid dental hygiene license in Missouri. Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology is essential. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices.
Pay Range : $45.00 - $55.00 / hour
