The ideal candidate will bring a keen attention to detail, a structured approach to documentation, and an ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate written products.This position requires strong collaboration with engineers, developers, and project stakeholders to gather information and create documentation that aligns with project goals, security compliance, and user needs.Key ResponsibilitiesWrite, edit, and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, user guides, installation manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical data and validate accuracy of and structure content for clarity, usability, and compliance with government standards and consistency and adherence to documentation style guides and security classification protocols.Participate in document reviews, revisions, and final delivery of materials to internal and external stakeholders.Maintain version control and documentation repositories throughout the lifecycle of a project.Basic QualificationsTen (10) years of functional experience in technical writing and editing of specifications, reports, manuals, and other system ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience working with cross-functional teams in technical environments.Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Clearance LevelActive Secret Security Clearance required at time of Environment and Physical DemandsWork is typically performed in a normal office environment.Position may involve sitting for extended periods, working at a computer, and occasional travel depending on project requirements.Salary at Echelon Services is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 (annualized USD).
