Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Contractor to oversee daily operations of the CTC and its engineering labs. This multifaceted role combines technical support, lab infrastructure maintenance, logistics coordination, and high-touch hospitality, ensuring a first-class experience for both engineering teams and visiting clients.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
- Monitor lab circuits and escalate outages via service provider tickets
- Install, cable, and configure internal and customer lab equipment
- Provide daily support to CTC engineers for deployments and POC environments
- Maintain accurate inventory using tools like Netbox or Velocity
Facilities & Visitor Engagement
Ensure labs, meeting rooms, and offices are clean, operational, and ready for client visitsServe as the main point of contact for Executive Briefings and customer interactionsDeliver hospitality services including guest greetings, tour facilitation, meal coordination, and post-visit upkeepManage facility work orders and maintain cleanliness in shared spaces (., kitchen, common areas)Logistics & Coordination
Handle all FedEx shipments (incoming / outgoing) for the CTCAct as liaison for third-party vendors during expansions, cabling, and infrastructure updatesQualifications
Experience in technical support, lab coordination, or IT operationsProficient in cabling and hardware installation for network / server equipmentFamiliarity with network monitoring tools and service ticketing systemsExceptional time management, multitasking, and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilities with a client-focused mindsetSelf-starter with proactive problem-solving capabilitiesExperience with inventory systems such as Netbox is a plusMust be able to lift and transport IT hardware (30–40 lbs)
