About The Position

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have : 1 year of open heart experience

Description :

Unit CVOR Tech - 6 operating rooms, including 1 cardiovascular operating room and 1 hybrid room.

Average number of cases per day ranges from 20 to 30, including 1-2 cardiovascular cases or up to 4 TAVR cases.

Required certifications for surgical techs include BLS.

Common procedures include CABG, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve repair, and TAVR.

Scrubbing is required for this position.

Charge nurse and specialty leads are available as resources, with a house supervisor present from 6 PM to 7 AM.

Call is required up to 50% of the time from the end of the shift until the next morning.

Call response time is 30 minutes.

On weekends, on-call duties may also be expected up to 50% of the time.

Surgical scrubs are provided.

Electronic medical record system used is Cerner.
