The Pay Range :
$63,000 - $70,000.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors.These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.What we offer :

The mission of the Associate Scientist Special Testing & Assay Transfer is to support the delivery of the highest-quality mouse models by producing accurate and reliable genotyping results.As the Associate Scientist, Special Testing & Assay Transfer you will be responsible for transferring and scaling up complex mouse genotyping and other bioanalytical assays into a production environment.This role conducts troubleshooting, design, and execution of gel- and capillary-based genotyping assays, RFLP assays, and real-time PCR assays, with responsibilities spanning multiple sites.Core Responsibilities :
Independently assess result quality, including identifying anomalies, determining their implications, and establishing appropriate follow-up actions, including technical corrections.Perform all aspects of new assay transfer, including design, testing, and implementation into production.Transfer all required genotyping assays to partner labs and troubleshoot any assay implementation issues.Schedule personal workload to ensure high-quality results are delivered on time with minimal re-testing.Contribute to process improvement efforts, including revisions to current processes and modification of existing assays to incorporate new platforms or technologies.Provide support in other laboratory areas, such as Genotyping or Genetic Monitoring, as needed.Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent technical / managerial experience.Coursework in molecular biology and genetics is required.Experience in a technical or specialized field requiring extensive training to perform a broad range of assignments and resolve non-standard problems.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and / or training.Ability to communicate effectively across departments.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reference periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations; interpret complex technical information—including mathematical and diagram formats; handle multiple concrete variables; define problems; collect data; establish facts; and draw valid conclusions.Physical Requirements & Work Environment :
