Job description

The Senior Medical Director of Oncology / Hematology at Augusta Medical Group plays a pivotal role in establishing a vision of clinical excellence for the HemOnc service line. To include :

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to set short and long-term goals for the service line
  • Leading efforts to expand Oncology / Hematology services
  • Developing innovative clinical research programs
  • Ensuring alignment with Augusta Health's goals
  • Building relationships with the community and promoting the service line

Minimum Requirements :

  • Board Certified MD / DO with 5-7 years of clinical experience
  • Experience in leadership roles and academic oncology centers
  • Proven administrative and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and drive change

    • Key Responsibilities include :

  • Service Line Management : Strategic planning, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and market growth
  • Clinical Management : Mentoring providers, clinical oversight, and policy development
  • Research Program Development : Leading clinical research programs, identifying trials, and obtaining funding
  • Service Line Development & Education : Providing educational opportunities and enhancing community outreach
