Job Responsibilities
Under broad supervision, conducts mental health and substance use assessments of people living with HIV, with an emphasis on prevention and / or behavior modification. Develops treatment plans for various mental health conditions. Conducts therapy on an individual basis as well as in group settings to promote optimum mental health. Supports individuals with the management of addiction and substance use; family, parenting, marital challenges; suicide risk; stress management; difficulties with self-esteem; and concerns associated with aging, health, and chronic disease management. This individual will work with patients in an infectious disease clinical setting and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary medical team.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and two (2) years of experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent; or Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and two (2) years of related post-license experience.
