Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Nights, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM (12-hour shifts)

Hours per Week : 36 (3x12 hour shifts)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2130 – $2190

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience (Oncology nursing experience preferred)

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Trauma 1 experience as required by the healthcare facility

Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system

Oncology RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized oncology nursing care plans

Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments to oncology patients in a hospital setting

Assist with bone marrow aspirations at the bedside

Access and maintain Mediports, start IVs, insert NG tubes, perform dressing changes, and insert Foley catheters

Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation using EPIC EMR

Provide emotional support and patient education to oncology patients and their families

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care

Promote a safe hospital environment by identifying and reporting safety hazards

Engage in ongoing professional development and support fellow nursing staff
