As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMCU), I provide acute care for pediatric patients with a range of conditions, including asthma and diabetic ketoacidosis. My role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver family-centered care while managing a rotating schedule. With over a year of inpatient experience and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, I strive to enhance patient outcomes and support families during critical times.

The Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMCU) provides care for a patient population requiring a more acute level of care but do not require invasive monitoring. Common diagnoses are asthma, bronchiolitis, diabetic ketoacidosis, apnea, multisystem disorders and patients needing BiPAP and CPAP.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for :

• Providing care for PIMCU patients.
• Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• 30 hours rotating days / nights and every other weekend.
