Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA monitors patient progress, adjusts treatments as needed, and communicates outcomes to the supervising therapist.

Essential Duties

Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, ambulation, and use of supportive devices.

Administer treatment plans per Physical Therapist directives.

Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Participate in care conferences, staff meetings, and trainings as required.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year PTA experience – Required

Skilled Nursing or Rehab experience – Required

BLS certification – Required

Active PTA license – Required
