Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $3,364 per week in Omaha, NE

Must care for a mixed acuity patient population. RNs will be prepared to care for up to five medical-surgical patients. Unit specializes in Client and Neurosurgery. Patients include those with strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, and brain and spinal cord tumors. Daily patient ratios for medical-surgical and telemetry are typically 1 : 5 days and 1 : 6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can go up to 1 : 7. Stepdown ratios are 1 : 3-4 for both days and nights. Two years of prior nursing experience in a relevant setting is required. The facility operates a 48-bed unit with long-term EEG monitoring. Floating to different units may be required based on facility needs. Units may include but are not limited to medical-surgical and telemetry settings. Daily staffing includes care teams with CNAs, care techs, and transport teams. Travelers are required to be 100% nicotine-free. Weekends : Four weekend shifts required out of eight possible in a four-week period. Mandatory scrub color is steel gray with appropriate logo. All contracts must conclude on a Sunday. Traveler must be compliant with specific documentation and testing.
