Job Description

Job Title : CT Technologist

Profession : Allied Health

Shift : Weekend Overnights

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Two (2) years Level 1 Trauma Center Experience

License : NYS Licensure

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Must-Have :

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Experience with Siemens Scanner preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A patient and compassionate disposition.
• Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.

Description :

Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.

Strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety.

Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.

Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.

Insert IVs when necessary for the test.

Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.

Utilize safe patient handling techniques.

Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components.

Ensure identifying images are sent to the system correctly upon exam completion.

Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
