Lab Technician

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Laboratory Technician within our Peterson Chemical Groupto help support our Bedding business. As a Laboratory Technician you will have the opportunity to do hands-on work with our Quality Control and Research and Development Teams. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by helping ensure the quality and comfort of foam products. So, what will you be doing as a Laboratory Technician?

• Preform Quality Control Testing of raw materials and outgoing products
• Conduct physical property testing of polyurethane foam and similar components
• Use standards-based methods to evaluate problems empirically
• Procure, record, and report data reliably and on time
• Operate a variety of laboratory equipment
• Appropriately label, store, and organize chemicals
• Observe all safety procedures and policies
• Clean and maintain lab equipment, including recalibration
