Job Title : O&M Technician
Job Description
Join our team as an O&M Technician, where you will be responsible for the daily monitoring and basic operations of plant systems, conducting routine lab tests, and performing both corrective and preventative maintenance activities. You will operate equipment both manually and through advanced control systems, ensuring optimal plant operations while following safety and process control procedures.
Responsibilities
Operate equipment manually and through control units, following process control procedures.
Monitor and observe operating conditions, recording observations and data in a shift log.
Diagnose basic operational problems and take corrective actions as per procedures.
Perform routine CLAIR (cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, inspection, and minor repair) on machines and related equipment.
Report and document work performed, entering data into appropriate databases.
Collect samples of water, wastewater, industrial waste, and related materials according to the schedule.
Perform field tests to adjust chemical dosages for process and odor control units.
Prepare chemical solutions, monitor supplies, and recommend reorders.
Perform routine lab tests and prepare reports per procedure.
Calibrate portable meters for various measurements including dissolved oxygen and pH.
Perform manual labor, including cleaning equipment and facilities, and properly dispose of waste according to policies.
Operate vehicles and material handling equipment for operational and maintenance purposes.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED with proficiency in English for reading, writing, and comprehending operational, process, safety, and quality instructions.
Six months to two years of experience in a related position, preferably in a similar environment.
Ability to comprehend specifications, blueprints, and manuals.
Experience with material handling equipment, pressure gauges, and precision measuring instruments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Troubleshooting and electrical skills.
Preventive maintenance and mechanical skills.
Experience in cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of equipment.
Experience in lab testing and instrument calibration.

Work Environment
The role involves spending 100% of the time in an operations environment, with 25-35% of the time potentially exposed to outdoor and sometimes inclement weather conditions. The position may require participation in a rotational 24-hour emergency on-call schedule. The work environment includes potential exposure to operations hazards such as fumes, dust, toxic and caustic chemicals, noise, rotating machinery, high pressure, extreme temperatures, slippery surfaces, water, and electrical hazards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00 / hr.
