Position Summary
The Inventory Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy and daily warehouse inventory operations. This role involves leading an inventory control team, analyzing stock levels, ensuring precise documentation, and supporting replenishment processes. The ideal candidate will help implement strong inventory control procedures and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, stock trends, and customer demand to ensure product availability.
- Accurately record, review, and maintain inventory data and transactional documentation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures to reduce costs and minimize discrepancies.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to inventory team members to support high performance.
- Assist with ordering and replenishing inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Track inventory adjustments and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure, organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Previous experience as an Inventory Supervisor or in a related warehouse leadership role.Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.Excellent organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as business needs require.Experience managing unionized staff preferred.
