Description :

This position is for a telemetry nurse in a moderate care unit.

The unit will be utilized for low acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in ICUs or stepdown units.

No ventilators, continuous renal replacement therapy, or Impella devices will be accepted.

The unit will accommodate LVAD patients, administer 2-4 medication drips, arterial lines, and pulmonary artery catheters.

This role involves monitoring patients who may require longer observation after a same-day procedure but plan to discharge home.

It will provide an excellent learning platform for cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses.

Working in this environment will help develop organization skills and critical thinking.

It will also enhance and fine-tune assessment skills.

The unit is fast-paced with a high volume of patient turnover and a wide variety of patient diagnoses.
