CT / X-Ray Technologist Duties
- Perform high-quality CT scans and general diagnostic radiology procedures as ordered by licensed providers
- Operate imaging systems and ensure accurate image capture and patient positioning
- Prepare patients for procedures by providing clear instructions and addressing safety and comfort
- Document patient information, exam protocols, and images into PACS and electronic medical records systems
- Assist in lab draws, ECGs, and medication administration when appropriate
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care with nurses, providers, and oncology specialists
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards
- Participate in equipment checks, maintenance reporting, and inventory stocking for imaging suites
Qualifications
Education :
High school diploma or GED requiredGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology programLicensure & Certifications :
ARRT certification in Radiography (R) requiredCurrent New Mexico Radiologic Technologist licenseARRT CT certification (or obtained within 12 months of hire)BLS certification requiredMedical Assistant certification preferred (or obtained within 6 months)Experience :
One year of imaging experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting preferredClinical experience with oncology patients a plusTechnical Skills :
Experience with digital PACS systems, EMRs, and CT-specific softwareKnowledge of radiographic anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation protection standardsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced care environmentStrong interpersonal skills and attention to detailWhat We Offer
