Develop PLC programs from scratch (Siemens and AB experience is a plus)
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) start-ups
Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC programs for existing systems
Design and create wiring and layout diagrams
Select appropriate electrical components
Develop HVAC Sequence of Operations
Calculate Minimum Circuit Ampacity (MCA) and Maximum Overcurrent Protection (MOCP)
Define electrical interconnections
Design detailed electrical back-pan layouts
Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and drafting software, including AutoCAD Electrical, to create technical drawings
Generate and manage electronic drawings
Develop design variations as needed
Communicate technical concepts to customers, fabrication teams, and installation personnel
Produce engineering drawings detailing plans and specifications
Update and finalize drawings with redlines / as-built modifications
Requirements :
Proficient in AutoDesk AUTOCAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with ASHRAE standards
Proficiency in NEC regulations
Understanding of hazardous location classifications and requirements
Knowledge of IEC / ATEX standards (preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas
Expertise in electrical and mechanical codes for hazardous areas, including NFPA 496 systems
8–10 years of experience in the HVAC industry with strong PLC programming skills (required)
Understanding of all aspects of the HVAC and / or manufacturing industry
Experience in designing electrical power circuits
Proficiency in designing AC and DC electrical control circuits
Familiarity with the design principles and construction practices of manufactured and engineered products and services, including fans, compressors, coils (DX and Chilled Water), heaters, and controls (DDC and Relay Logic)
Compensation :
90.000 to $120,000 annual salary, depending on experience
