Job Description
Evaluates patients and develops patient-specific physical therapy treatment program. Monitors, reassesses and modifies treatment program to meet patient needs in an ongoing manner. Coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, students, etc). Performs treatments demonstrating awareness of growth and development for each population group. Applies knowledge of population specific needs when assessing / caring for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients according to psychosocial and developmental needs.
Education :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
One (1) year in acute care preferred.
Licenses / Certificates :
Current Mississippi RN licensure is required.
BLS & ACLS certification is required. PALS certification is preferred.
Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne / airborne disease; contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances; exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, chemicals and illness); subject to varying and unpredictable situations; able to handle emergency, crisis or pressured situations; subject to multiple interruptions; occasionally subject to extended or irregular hours; requires judgment / actions that impact patient outcomes.
