IT Shop Floor Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE

The IT Shop Floor Specialist will support users and resolve IT issues within shop floor, manufacturing execution systems and ERP systems. Specialist will work with both local and remote teams to bridge the gap between IT and business needs. This position will work to implement / upgrade shop floor systems into current / new manufacturing equipment. The person in this role will work towards continuous improvement in processes and end-user skill levels.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Identify, report, and assist in mitigating cyber-security risks, attempts and incidents.
• Act as IT representative providing hands-on support for all systems on the shop floor, ensuring that shop floor technology is being effectively deployed and utilized by our customers.
• Work with our IT delivery team to ensure that ALL devices on the shop floor (PC, Tablet, RF Scanner, etc.) are identified, secured, patched and working as expected.
• Help identify enhancement opportunities for shop floor technology / applications.
• Develop support and training tools that increase system usability.
• Assist developers in issue resolution and solution deployment.
• Support shop floor hardware needs : Printers, scanners, PC's, scales, mobile devices, desk phones.
• Assist in setting up network connectivity for PC's, scanners, printers and other shop floor equipment.
• Work with ERP team to fulfill printer and new user configuration.
• Shop Floor Specialist must be able to work well with business end users, manufacturing, controls, operations and facilities personnel and ERP functional leads to be effective.

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. The offered compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to level of experience, certifications / education, training, and work location. This position is eligible for variable incentive pay based on company performance.
