A Brief Overview
The Director manages all aspects of middle‑market private equity fund investments for the PD&E group, including oversight of LP fund commitments, and provides support for co‑investments and GP‑led secondaries. They manage relationships with existing and potential Partner Managers, drive portfolio diversification, and optimise risk‑adjusted returns through disciplined LP investment strategies. The Director also collaborates with the PD&E direct investment team to source debt and equity opportunities.
What You Will Do
- Investment Sourcing and Evaluation : Build and maintain a pipeline of institutional‑quality fund managers, target new relationships annually, lead due diligence processes for potential investments and conduct market research to analyse investment data.
- Financial Analysis : Monitor investment performance and tier managers, track portfolio returns and risk metrics and assess compliance with investment objectives; lead modelling and analysis of primary fund and secondary transactions, project cash flows for LP investments, and perform valuation analysis of portfolio companies.
- Legal and Compliance : Stay updated on legal fund terms, negotiate fund documents and side letters, manage legal review of investment opportunities, ensure adherence to internal investment policies, ILPA standards and regulatory requirements.
- Relationship Management : Represent RGA at annual and advisory board meetings, facilitate introductions between Partner Managers and the direct investment team, monitor investment managers and fund investments, analyse and respond to Partner Manager correspondence.
- Leadership and Presentation : Present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee, develop materials for executive audiences and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree.7+ years of experience in private equity‑related industry; experience managing or mentoring team members.Required Skills and Abilities

$175,650.00 – $261,600.00 annually. Base pay varies depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan and long‑term equity incentive plan, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
