Yard Driver & Forklift Operator

Job Description :

A Yard Driver is responsible for pulling containers into dock doors to be unloaded and then out of dock doors to park in the yard. A Forklift Driver  the loading, unloading, and moving of palletized loads throughout the warehouse. Primary duties for this role are moving containers in the yard, performing local deliveries as needed, loading / unloading trucks, performing consolidation, performing down stacks, and picking orders. Approximately 80% of this role will be in the warehouse, on a forklift.

Key Responsibilities

• Move containers in and out of dock doors at the direction of inbound management
• Performing local deliveries and transfers
• Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles
• Moving pallet-packed materials around the warehouse or storage facility
• Checking loads are secure
• Picking transfer and / or customer orders
• Consolidating palletized products throughout the warehouse
• Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Following written instructions and keeping records
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
• Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately.
• Other duties as needed per the direction of your manager.
