Technology Technician (Columbia)

Our client is seeking an entry-level Client Technologies Technician to provide technical assistance and support for IT Services Desktop Support staff. This role involves building and deploying laptops, tablets, and workstations, troubleshooting hardware / software issues, and maintaining accurate asset documentation. This role is a contract role for 12 months with the possibility of extension and is fully onsite in Columbia, SC.

Key Responsibilities

• Build desktops, laptops, and tablets using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Verify BitLocker encryption keys are stored in Active Directory and InTune.
• Ensure successful installation of MECM Client and required software.
• Maintain connectivity for devices post-build and confirm proper check-in.
• Document all assigned assets in the IT Services Asset Management system.
• Diagnose and resolve endpoint hardware / software issues; log work in Help Desk system.
• Perform routine maintenance and coordinate vendor repairs as needed.
• Assist with removal / disposal of obsolete equipment per company procedures.
• Monthly : Patch and maintain backup tablets and iPads per schedule.
