About the Unit :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit where you will care for a diverse patient population, including :
Post-operative care for various neurosurgical procedures.Patients recovering from stroke as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .Exposure to cutting-edge techniques through the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) .Your Role :
Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure therapeutic and safe care.Apply clinical judgment, communication skills, and critical thinking for optimal patient outcomes.Contribute to enhancing patient experience throughout their care journey.Major Responsibilities :
Assess patient needs, plan interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness.Anticipate significant changes in patient condition and adjust care plans accordingly.Implement safety strategies and accommodate educational needs of patients and families.Coordinate a smooth discharge plan involving various healthcare professionals.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department functions.Qualifications :
Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA.Completion of an accredited Nursing program.At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, push, pull, and perform patient transfers with assistance as required.Exposure to various physical demands, including use of foot pedals and possible exposure to hazardous materials.Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
