Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Dickson, TN 37055 – Experience Tennessee healthcare in a welcoming community near Nashville, with access to beautiful parks and small-town charm.

Unit : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg), 26 beds

Assignment Type : Travel Nurse Contract

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Duration : 12-week travel nursing assignment

Hours per Week : 36

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Scheduling : Every other weekend required

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530 - $1640

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications

At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills

Effective time management and ability to float to other Med / Surg units

Compliance with hospital dress code : Royal, Galaxy, Pewter Gray, or White scrubs

Med / Surg Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care to medical-surgical patients in a 26-bed unit

Maintain safe patient ratios (1 : 6 or team nursing up to 1 : 9)

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, unit secretaries, and patient care technicians (PCTs)

Operate Alaris IV pumps and document care using Meditech EMR

Perform hourly purposeful rounds and participate in bedside shift reports

Enhance patient experience through AIDET communication standards

Follow all unit guidelines, hospital policies, and procedures
