The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive leader responsible for the strategic and operational direction of all financial functions, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, budgeting, treasury, compliance, and risk management. As a critical business partner to the CEO and the executive leadership team, the CFO drives financial performance, ensures fiscal sustainability, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
In addition to strategic oversight, the CFO is responsible for modernizing outdated financial and accounting processes, streamlining workflows, implementing best-in-class systems, and building a future-ready finance organization that supports scalable growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Develop and execute NCM's financial strategy in support of long-term business growth and transformation.
o Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CEO, COO, and executive team.
o Use scenario planning, forecasting, and predictive modeling to guide resource allocation and business priorities.
o Lead modernization of financial systems through ERP upgrades, BI tools, and automation.
o Champion finance automation efforts- e.g., AP automation, real-time reporting, and process digitization.
o Collaborate with IT and operational teams to tightly integrate financial and business platforms.
o Elevate FP&A as a strategic capability, enabling proactive, insight-driven decision-making.
o Translate financial data into compelling narratives that drive alignment across departments.
o Build a culture of data-informed planning, where finance partners closely with all business units.
o Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce manual tasks.
o Shorten the month-end close cycle, increase financial accuracy, and improve forecasting agility.
o Lead cross-functional reviews to identify bottlenecks across the supply chain, workforce planning, and customer delivery.
o Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with regulatory standards.
o Oversee audit readiness, internal controls, treasury operations, and risk mitigation strategies.
o Manage ESOP administration and compliance in coordination with external partners and board committees.
o Inspire and coach a high-performing finance and accounting team; act as a mentor to rising talent.
o Foster a "Finance as a Service" philosophy- supporting departments as internal clients.
o Lead change with empathy, humility, and integrity- building trust across functions and levels.
