Job description

Overview

As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding Relativity's network and infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will involve investigating and analyzing emerging cybersecurity threats to protect our assets, identities, and clients. You will also provide actionable remediation advice to end users and collaborate with top cyber security experts to anticipate and mitigate evolving threats using cutting-edge tools and next-generation capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and triage alerts while conducting technical analysis of log data from a variety of sensors, correlated signature logic, and threat intelligence sources.
  • Assess the impact of security events by utilizing host, cloud, and network-based indicators to provide actionable incident escalations.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for cyber security events and drive investigations to resolution.
  • Perform thorough near real-time analysis of correlated logs and alerts from multiple devices, focusing on classifying security incidents.
  • Proactively search through collected telemetry to detect and isolate advanced threats that bypass existing security measures.
  • Assist in formulating incident handling policies and procedures in line with global industry standards.
  • Continuously research emerging threats and implement appropriate countermeasures in a dynamic environment.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in analyzing observed malicious activities.
  • Tune alerting mechanisms consistently and provide guidance to junior team members in detection engineering.
  • Maintain security infrastructure and ensure tooling configurations are updated regularly.
  • Contribute to projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong incident response skills including network forensics, memory forensics, and packet analysis.
  • Working knowledge of TCP / IP, network services, cryptography, and web application security vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team to achieve high-level objectives and enhance Relativity's security posture.
  • Understanding of the methods and tools employed by attackers to infiltrate private systems and data.
  • Capability to independently prioritize and manage complex security events.
  • Knowledge of infection mechanisms, malicious behavior, exploitation techniques, and mitigation strategies.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional / military experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Incident Response, Incident Analysis, or Computer Forensics.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard security devices and their configurations.
  • Experience analyzing malicious code to understand infection and propagation techniques.
  • Proficient in scripting languages for solving information security challenges.
  • Exceptional work ethic and passion for Cyber Security.
  • Preferred certifications include one or more of the following : GCFA, GCIA, GCIH, GNFA, GREM, OSCP, or CEH.
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment on a global scale.
  • Familiarity with the legal space, particularly e-discovery and litigation.
  • Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.

The final salary offered will take into account various factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal equity. It is typical to hire below the top end of the salary range to allow for future meaningful growth.
