We are currently looking for a qualified EHS Manager to join our team. At GK, Safety Always is a core value. As a safety professional you are an integral part of facilitating our growth in a safe and compliant manner. This position will have three primary focuses : compliance, analysis and investigation, and the creation of a behavior-based safety culture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate confidence in decision-making, speak up proactively, and is comfortable taking initiative in fast-paced environments. The EHS Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Lead safety strategy at GK CL and major customer sites in coordination with business leaders and EHS partners.
- Ensure compliance with safety documentation, customer portals, posters, and regulatory materials.
- Represent GK during OSHA and customer audits; manage corrective actions and responses.
- Create and implement inspection procedures and schedules; engage leadership in timely improvements.
- Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions with HR and leadership.
- Analyze safety data to identify risks and develop procedures with HR and leadership for all work sites.
- Plan and deliver safety training for new hires, compliance, emergencies, and post-incident needs.
- Establish processes to promote and sustain a culture of safe behavior.
- Assist HR with documentation for workers' compensation claims.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- 10% travel to various locations in the United States.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master’s degree desirable.OSHA 30 Hour Certification in both Construction and General Industry.Five years of related experience preferred.Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies – in a manufacturing facility and in a construction site.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Successful experience with change management.Intermittent domestic and international travel is required.Physical Requirements :
Physically able to transport equipment used for inspections, use a computer, phone, and travel by plane and car to conduct work onsite at construction and production sites.Visual acuity and hearing ability to conduct conversations in person, on the phone and over video. Must also be able to produce and conduct training in small and large groups.Pay : $110,000 to $130,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
