Role Description

A Senior Payroll Specialist is accountable for all aspects of quality payroll service for clients. An individual in this role works closely with the client contact to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll. This position requires accurate data entry input into the payroll system to produce timely payments for all pay periods (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly).

We are in need of a client-oriented, deadline-driven professional who completes payroll processing activities with speed and accuracy. This role is suited for a motivated individual with the strong work ethic and sense of ownership needed to excel in a fast-paced environment. A Senior Payroll Specialist seeks challenge and opportunity for self-improvement, with the understanding that there is room for growth.

This is a full-time, in-person position based out of our office in Coeur d'Alene, ID.

This position has a pay range of $22 - $24 / hour . Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location.

Key Functions and Responsibilities :

• Act as support for the Payroll Manager and Payroll Processors / Specialists
• Process payroll information accurately & efficiently from start to finish
• Keep abreast of assigned client base to meet client payroll needs and process all updates for each client according to their payroll cycle
• Provide a high level of customer service to ensure client satisfaction
• Import and audit time files into the payroll system for processing
• Routinely communicate with clients to obtain payroll data, including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, and employee deductions or adjustments
• Assist team members with overflow work
• Demonstrate professionalism with team members, peers, management, and clients
• Provide clients with accurate reporting information and maintain confidentiality with all client information
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients, coworkers, and management to promote a positive quality service image
• Process manual, special exception batches, bonus / commission runs, gross up / net zero checks, etc. when necessary for clients
• Provide certified payroll reporting and multilevel job costing that is client or industry specific when indicated
• Knowledge of payroll processing to the extent that you can look for errors or gaps in information
• Maintains electronic and paper filing systems
• Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and / or annual bonus based on your individual performance and / or the company's performance.
