Responsibilities

• Designing and constructing special-purpose analog, digital, and RF electronics equipment for the John D. Fox Superconducting Accelerator Laboratory, in collaboration with the faculty and other staffs working in the laboratory.
• Repairing and maintaining commercially manufactured electronic equipment for the facility.
• Instructing faculty, staffs, and graduate students in the use of the specialized equipment.
• Interpreting and analyzing results.
• Coordinating the installation, testing, and scheduled maintenance program for specific equipment.
• Evaluating and analyzing operational log and diaries.
• Maintaining facilities for manufacturing and assembling printed circuit boards.
• Maintaining inventory of electronic components in the NRB electronics shop.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma / equivalent and experience equal to four years. (Note : a combination of post high school education and experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Anticipated Salary Range

The anticipated starting salary for this position is in the $50,000's, commensurate with experience and education.
