Job Details

  • Child Life Specialist position in a 50 Bed Pediatric Unit at St Lukes Boise Medical Center.
  • Workload varies depending on needs; typically 15-20 patients.
  • Primary area will be for inpatient PICU & Pediatrics, with potential to float to other areas.

    • Job Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in specialty required.
  • Must be a team player, adaptable, and have a positive attitude.

    • Schedule Information

  • Shifts typically 5-8s M-F 8 : 30-5 or 4-10s Fr-M 0730-1800.
  • Weekend requirements depend on shift.
  • May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • May float to NICU, Peds, PICU, procedural areas, and outpatient clinic settings.
  • 3 Assistants float throughout the different areas.

    • Additional Details

  • BLS required; Med Sol Interview / Auto Offer.
  • Unit specific orientation includes 2 days General Orientation, 1 / 2 day Epic training, and 4 shifts with a preceptor.
