Nights, 8 and 12-hour shifts, rotating every third weekend, and holiday rotation.

Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, providing care for diverse and complex cases, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resectionsCervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeriesPatients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramA high volume of spinal surgery patients and medical overflow casesAs part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), you'll gain exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, implement interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness.Recognize significant changes in patient condition and adjust care plans accordingly.Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and manage learning needs of patients and families.Coordinate discharge plans through an interdisciplinary approach, applying evidence-based practice.Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking proactive actions as needed.Establish effective communication and collaboration among healthcare team members.Promote a culture of safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives.Engage in professional development and mentorship opportunities.Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care needs for diverse patient populations.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license in the state of practiceBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart AssociationEducation Required :
Completion of an accredited Nursing programExperience Required :
