Job descriptionKey Responsibilities : Patient Care : Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing diagnostic tests. Ensure the comfort and safety of patients at all times. Assessment : Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients by collecting health histories and physical examination data. Identify patients’ needs and develop appropriate care plans. Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective patient care. Participate in team rounds and adjust care plans as necessary. Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Document observations, interventions, and patient responses timely and correctly. Education : Provide health education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and health maintenance. Promote health awareness and preventive care. Emergency Response : Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care or interventions as needed. Participate in emergency response drills and continuing education. Compliance : Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations set forth by the healthcare facility, state regulations, and professional organizations. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols. Qualifications : Education : For LPN : Completion of an accredited LPN program and a valid LPN license in New Jersey. For RN : Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and a valid RN license in New Jersey. Experience : Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred. Experience in [specific area, e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics, critical care, catheterization] is a plus. Certifications : Current CPR / BLS certification. Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may be required based on the department. Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills. Personal Attributes : Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.
