Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Stepdown Unit

EMR System : Cerner (required)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1700 - $1820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

At least 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care setting

Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Eligible as a travel nurse (must reside 60+ miles from Hickory, NC)

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients recovering from cardiac events and procedures

Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition

Administer prescribed medications and cardiac treatments

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery, and discharge planning

Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR

Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development for travel nurses
