CAD Designer / Drafter

Cochran is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our growing team as full-time Civil CAD designer / drafters. We currently have an opening at our Lees Summit, MO office.

Cochran is an established civil engineering, construction testing, architectural, and land surveying firm with 7 offices in Missouri. Cochran specializes in public and private projects including municipal, commercial, residential, transportation, water / wastewater, site development, retail, and planning. With a team of 100+ professionals across multiple offices, Cochran brings unique knowledge and understanding to each client's project. Primary Responsibilities :

• Must have an understanding of Civil CAD-based drafting procedures.
• Produce drawings using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD), Civil 3D software
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction various projects
• Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, and structures
• Correlate, interpret, and modify data obtained from topographical surveys, well logs, and geophysical prospecting reports
• Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, photography, or other duplicating methods
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from Civil Engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
• Provide Engineers and Surveyors with drafting support
