General Laborer Part Timers

General laborer part timers cover a broad range of tasks that may include assisting with the set up and breakdown of facilities and / or equipment and storage of equipment, assist with a variety of responsibilities to support any athletic and / or recreation activities and events as required, working the concession stand, monitor facility, and program activities. Part timers work under the guidance and supervision of the administrative staff. Part timers are expected to work together with all Parks and Recreation staff to share are responsible for providing a great customer service for children and communicating with families and customers. Hours M-F (6am - 9pm) Saturday (8am - 6pm) Sunday (1pm - 5pm) rotating shifts 20 hours per week.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

General knowledge of modern principles and practices of education. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Director. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; the ability to develop and maintain strong, effective working relationships with the community through extensive contact with parents, instructors, and participants; and skilled management of multiple programs and a desire to build upon the existing program base. Knowledge of first aid practices and techniques.

Minimum Education and Experience

Graduation from high school or equivalent education; Must be computer literate; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience required to perform the essential job functions. Must possess a valid NC driver's license and must pass criminal history and driver's license background checks.
