Job Description
Summary :
The Dermatology Medical Assistant (MA-C) provides high-quality clinical and administrative support to dermatologists in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This position covers two locations - First Hill (Seattle) and Renton - and involves assisting with procedures rooming patients taking vitals documentation and scribing during visits. The role requires a proactive MA comfortable with dermatology and ENT crossover strong computer and EMR skills and excellent patient interaction.
Responsibilities :
Room patients obtain and document vital signs medical history allergies and current medications.
Assist dermatologists with procedures such as biopsies wound care dressing changes and suture removals.
Prepare and set up aseptic / sterile trays for procedures.
Handle scribing and EMR documentation during patient visits using Epic (preferred).
Manage follow-up calls pharmacy refills and patient inquiries.
Prepare and administer injections and immunizations as ordered.
Collect label and process specimens for lab submission.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms and clinical supplies.
Support ENT-related visits and procedures as needed.
Collaborate effectively with a small clinical team (1 dermatologist and 2 MAs).
Key Requirements :
Must have at least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant in dermatology adult outpatient pediatric or private clinic settings.
ENT experience required.
Must hold active MA-C (Medical Assistant Certified) license in Washington State.
Must have BLS certification.
EPIC EMR experience preferred.
Must be comfortable working across two locations (First Hill and Renton).
Reliable personal transportation required - public transport not acceptable.
Must be able to manage high-volume workflow (35 40 patients / day).
No weekends on-call or block scheduling.
Locals accepted (within 50-mile radius same rate).
Pending licenses not accepted.
RTO restrictions : Must be discussed and approved by hiring manager.
Guaranteed hours : Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period.
Qualifications
Education :
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Experience :
Minimum 1 year of experience preferred (6 months required).
Experience in dermatology or ENT clinic highly preferred.
Prior outpatient or ambulatory clinic experience strongly desired.
License :
Active MA-C license (Washington State) required.
BLS certification required.
Skills :
